چکیده
The current study investigated the synergistic effect of combinations containing deltamethrin (D), Eucalyptus essential oil (E), and thyme component thymol (T), against a field population Rhipicephalus annulatus in Egypt that was characterized to be resistant D. Solutions T, E, or TE at concentrations 1.25–5% were combined with 5% different dilutions (0.25–2 mL/L). Results adult immersion test used estimate vitro acaricidal activity these yielded LC50 values for D, E-D, T-D, TE-D 3.87 mL/L, 3.89 0.14 0.05 respectively. Biochemical analyses using whole-body homogenate ticks from tests revealed lowest acetylcholinesterase glutathione peroxidase activity, maximum lipid peroxidation recorded treated TE-D. Glutathione content significantly decreased (p ? 0.05) all ticks. Three groups, each five cross breed cattle naturally infested R. same area where resistance D detected, sprayed twice two-week intervals 1 mL/L solutions Overall efficacy sprays by day 30 post-treatment 21.6, 88.3, 95 %, Ticks collected three days after treatment spray deposited egg masses able hatch, small eggs unable hatch when exposed T-D spray, laid few didn’t combination. Values liver kidney function parameters comparable before combination tested. overcame insensitivity this Egypt, which also highlighted significant on observed vitro. Acaricidal apparently has deleterious effects multiple tick systems involving inhibition acetylcholinesterase, increased peroxidation, oxidative stress. These findings document natural synthetic products can part integrated management problem widespread pyrethroids like populations ticks, including annulatus, around world.

Status of Indoor Residual Spraying by Deltamethrin in Malaria Elimination Program, Southeastern Iran
ABSTRACT Background: Iran is one of the countries implementing indoor residual spraying (IRS) for malaria control. Deltamethrin (DLT) is one of the insecticides recommended by World Health Organization (WHO) for this program. IRS is currently performed in Sistan and Baluchistan province as an area with unstable malaria situation and the highest prevalence of malaria in the country. DLT has ...

متن کاملControl of Cutaneous Leishmaniasis Using Deltamethrin Treated Nets in Comparison to Indoors Residual Spraying in a Rural Area of Iran
BACKGROUND Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) is an important vector-borne disease in Iran. The present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Deltamethrin treated nets in comparison to Indoors Residual Spraying (IRS) for the control of leishmaniasis in a new focal area of Iran. METHODS The study was carried out in 5 villages in the west of Iran during 2012-2013. One village was selected to the ap...
متن کاملTrypsin-Catalyzed Deltamethrin Degradation
To explore if trypsin could catalyze the degradation of non-protein molecule deltamethrin, we compared in vitro hydrolytic reactions of deltamethrin in the presence and absence of trypsin with ultraviolet-visible (UV/Vis) spectrophotometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). In addition, acute oral toxicity of the degradation products was determined in Wistar rats. The results sho...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the susceptibility of methicillin-susceptible and methicillin-resistant staphylococci (MSS, MRS) to oregano essential oil, carvacrol and thymol. The commercial aerial parts of Origanum vulgare L. were hydrodistilled and the essential oil analysed by gas- chromatography/electron impact mass spectrometry. The inhibition efficacy of this essence and its major ...
